Why stick with a meaning that leaves you stuck & miserable?


Are you fed up with experiencing problem, after problem in your life? feeling like life is just too much.

I am sure you have heard of the question, of whether the glass is half empty or half full.

It’s the age-old question that defines us as human beings. The truth is It's neither, It just is. The same applies to our lives. Good or bad, happy or sad. up or down. It all depends, on the meaning and frame we give something, which then causes us to feel and think a certain way. The meaning you give anything determines how you feel & what you do or don't do. - So therefore when you change the meaning, you can change the feeling.


What Meanings Are You Giving? As Wayne Dyer once said: "If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change."

Take a moment and think about one problem in your life -What meaning are you currently giving that problem? A meaning that is lifting you up, or dragging you down, inspiring you or expiring you, empowering you or disempowering you.

As of right now the meaning you are giving the problem is showing up as a feeling/s.


I was someone who was so fed up with my life, why does nothing change in my life? Why can I never achieve more, but my mum tried to kill herself, I will always be hurt, I am unloveable, I am worthless.

Until one day I learned to take responsibility for my life and was told that I should start changing the meanings I was giving, with some tips and tricks shared by my dear friend John Assaraf.

1. Ask Yourself Better Questions


Feeling stuck, right now what are some empowering questions you could ask yourself:


- What have I learned from this experience?

- What do I choose to focus on (the up or the down)?

- Who do I choose to show up as today?

- Who have I been becoming (as a result of this experience)? - How can I frame this in a way that inspires me?

- How can I move forwards from this?


Did you notice a shift in your thinking?


The key is to practice asking yourself better questions daily.

1. What are three disempowering beliefs you have right now: (Write them down)

I am not capable of achieving my goals.

I am not good enough.

I can't do anything right.

I am not worthy of success.

I am not smart enough.

I am not strong enough.

I will never be successful.

I am not important.

I am a failure.

I am not worthy of love.


After you have noticed how they make you feel.


2. Change The Frame Change the Meaning

In the past, I used to believe _____________ (If I change my life I would be hurt).

Now I believe _______ as I change my life I am growing stronger, and stronger, and that great things are happening in my life. Read, read, read & feel (this/these) statements daily... And over time you will start to believe what you have written.


4. Refocus on The Power of Gratitude


What are one to three things you can be truly grateful for?

Take a moment, try it, and feel it. As for every problem in our life, there is always something to be grateful for.

The techniques I share above are just a few things I have practiced over years to change the frame and flip the meanings.


But the key lies not only in the techniques but lies in the use of techniques daily, if only used once your result will likely remain the same, but if you commit to practicing daily over time that is when the magic will start to happen.
