"If you're interested, you'll do what's easy. If you're committed, you'll do whatever it takes."
– Les Brown
Have you ever wondered what separates those who achieve their goals and dreams - from those who watch life pass them by, blaming the outside world for all the reasons why they don't have more in life or aren't living their life's dreams?
It’s not the outside world—it comes down to two simple words:
Committed or Interested.
But truly. Not just saying “I’m committed”—I mean feeling it, meaning every word of commitment. Or are you simply interested?
If you want to change your life and achieve your goals and dreams... it starts with a decision you are about to make as you continue reading this blog today—that decision is:
Are you truly committed or just interested in achieving more in your life?
Do you choose to stand on the edge of what can be, or continue living by the excuses and reasons why not?
But first and foremost, you must understand this...
Is Success A Straight Line
Many people think that success is a straight line—but is it really? Or does success come with ups and downs, like everything else in life?
Does success come with fear, doubt, worry, stress, and anxiety? Totally, Yes.
Success is not a straight path. If it were, you’d see many more people at the top of the hill. But why aren’t they there? Because they haven’t decided.
But does that really, really, really need to define your life and future?
It sure doesn’t—but only if you make a simple yet powerful decision: which side of life do you choose to be on—the committed or the interested side?
You can hope and wish a million times for things to get better... but how many times can you keep running that loop before finally saying to yourself, “I am truly done”? You may be thinking tht just the way life is, truly is doesnt have to be.
Think about this for a moment - Look back at history:
Albert Einstein didn’t speak until the age of four.

Thomas Edison’s teachers said he was "too stupid to learn anything."

Walt Disney was fired from a newspaper for "lack of imagination" and "no original ideas."

Steve Jobs was devastated when he was abruptly removed from the company he started at age 30.

Michael Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team for "lack of skill."

The Wright Brothers were initially ridiculed and doubted, with many claiming that human flight was impossible.

You see, each of these individuals wasn’t just interested—they were committed.
They endured rejection, failure, and difficulty, yet they remained focused on what they wanted to achieve, no matter what. If they could do it, how come you’re not?
All the success you want is already here, right now. The question you should be asking yourself isn’t “Can I get there?”—it’s “How committed am I, really?”
You have the power. You have the wisdom. And you certainly have what it takes within you—but are you using that power wisely?
Are You Committed or Interested— The Choice Is Yours, Right Now!
Now, you may be wondering— Well what is the difference between someone who is committed to achieving more in their life and someone who is merely interested?
The truth is, as John Assaraf's once said asked him:
"Are you interested in achieving your goals, or are you committed?"
"Uhhhhh... well." What are the differences?
If Your Interested?
You'll choose the easiest option.
You'll make excuses about why you can't.
You will allow your previous or present situations to impact your thinking and behaviour.
You will not accept the discomfort of change, even though it is absolutely required if you truly want to break free from your present ideas, behaviours, and outcomes.
If Your Committed?
You’ll do whatever it takes.
You’ll take action despite your doubts and fears.
You’ll upgrade your knowledge, skills, and belief and expand what’s possible for you.
If you’re really committed, you’ll let go of anything holding you back.
You see, whichever side of the coin you choose to be on will decide your future. It’s not just a few words—it’s a decision that creates and co-creates everything in your life and future.
The Impact Theory - Key timestamp:
Make a Choice
Like John—and many of the individuals I mentioned above—I spent years living on both sides of the coin: committed and interested. Until I found John Assaraf and his wisdom, which I now pass down to you.
And truth be told… when you’re only interested, life doesn’t blossom there. It doesn’t shine. It doesn’t get better. Maybe for a day or two—but the rest? Stuck. Dull. It feels like life is against you.
From:“I can’t because...”
“This isn’t possible for me.”
“Who am I to achieve such results?”
“I’ll always be stuck.”
“My life can never change.”
The same disempowering thoughts played over and over again:
“Don’t dream big—it will never come true.”
“My life will never change.”
“Nothing good ever happens for me.”
Feeling worthless, hopeless, and useless every day—it was suffocating. And worse, it hurt deep inside.
Until one day… wisdom struck.
I heard the question above, and when I finally answered that one simple yet powerful question, everything started to shift and transform:
From breaking the odds after being told I’d always be depressed, feeling worthless, not seeing a future... to rising above it all & so can you.
The reason I share this with you today is because... You're just one choice away from transformation.
Are You Truly Committed, Or Just Interested?
Make A Choice Now.
You see, life doesn’t have to be dark or dull. It starts with the choices you make—or don’t make—every single day.
Those choices create the results you live. Are you all in, or out of your own life?
And I’ll say this—your life can transform. It’s in your hands.
So now, I pass this question on to you:
Are you interested, or are you committed to achieving your goals and dreams?
Is Being Committed Easy?
No, because it means creating a new version of yourself, and that comes with resistance. But what’s worse—standing on the edge of your potential or breaking free and becoming the person you desire to be?
Remember, even from the darkest moments, you have the power to create your own light. The choice is yours right now.
